About Us

AnalogTubes.com was formed by two friends of 35 years. Both love playing music and working with audio technology. They met each other in Los Angeles when they began working together as touring engineers with TFA - Electrosound starting in the 1970s. Both had a commitment to providing superior sound and service to their clients. They toured, together and independently, with most of the major acts of the 70s and 80s: Aerosmith, Ted Nugent, Rod Stewart, Tom Petty, Elvis Costello, The Clash, The Who, Carlos Santana, George Duke and Stanley Clarke and The Talking Heads. They worked every day on the road and in the studio with some of the greatest guitar and bass players that have ever been. Both have been awarded multiple gold and platinum albums for their work on the road and in the studios.

After years on the road both settled down, and as the saying goes, “got real jobs”. One went to work for Westlake Audio/Studios in Los Angels and one went to work for console maker Soundcraft in New York. Over time both moved ahead in their careers and both then worked together for a number of years for Rupert Neve, the world’s premier audio console maker. The choice of working for Neve reinforced the goal they both shared, to provide superior sound products and quality service to clients.

By the late 1980’s both had left Neve to form their own independent businesses. One moved to Atlanta and focused on digital technology, the internet and network design by starting his own data center and Internet Service Provider. The other moved to Las Vegas and opened an Authorized Service and design company for professional audio equipment for recording studios, live concert sound and theatrical performances. Service lines included Neve, SSL, DigiDesign, Tube-Tech, Daking, Soundcraft, Focusrite, Line 6, Mesa/Boogie, Marshall, Ampex and many other professional lines of audio and music equipment. Both businesses remain successful today.

Both friends continue to play music and seek the best audio technology for music production. After a number of years of working as live and studio engineers, development and testing and product design of audio equipment, and certified technicians, the two friends formed AnalogTubes. With their combined 60 years of experience of both live and studio sound they felt they could offer superior services for the music and studio market. The company is based upon one simple principal: always, always, always – it’s about the quality of the service and the quality of the sound!

Today, as it was over 30 years ago, the two friends still spend time laughing at everything, and arguing who has the best guitar and amp collection. They only thing they agree on every time is tube amps are still the best sound.
